Jared Leto announced on the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars on Sunday night that he and fellow nominee June Squibb are in fact a pair.
Leto, 42, playfully hit on Squibb, 84, during her interview with E!'s Ryan Seacrest.
After interrupting the "Nebraska" star as she was taking about her eye-catching green Tadashi Shoji dress (which was made for her and only arrived at her hotel hours ago!), Leto explained how the two met at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
"Let's put the rumors to rest," Leto was quoted as saying, noting: "We are indeed dating and it's great."
"I've been having fun. I hope she is, too," Leto added.
"Our evening in Santa Barbara was great," Squibb joked.
Leto then explained how he made the decision to get dressed in a white tuxedo jacket and flawlessly tousled hair.
"I have always loved that old school vibe and I never really ever wear suits," Jared said of his bold choice to go for a white coat.
"I kind of feel like it was a fun opportunity to do something old school and classic," Leto pointed out.
The "Dallas Buyers Club" star also stated how excited he was to have his mom in attendance with him this evening.
"It's incredible. It's fun to share with my mom and brother, they're both here tonight," Leto revealed to Seacrest.
"This is a woman who, against all odds, was able to make a better life for herself and for my brother and she taught us so much about creativity and hard work and about living dreams so it's really fun to share this dream with her," Leto claimed.
